Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Engaged Churches™ is a ministry that specializes in the areas of leadership and spiritual development, strengths-based training, engagement coaching and resources for churches and ministries that train leaders to equip people to be the church.

After studying the relationship between quantitative and qualitative growth as a pastor in the local church for nearly 15 years, Chris Browne founded Engaged Churches™ in 2005, and after completing a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership, he partnered with
Gallup Faith Practice, (a division of The Gallup Organization that specializes in the area of engagement metric and talent development).  In 2009, Browne was contracted by The Gallup Organization where he was the Faith Field Adviser Coordinator; overseeing 85 Faith Field Advisers around the world and providing EngagedChurches.com the opportunity for expanded opportunities for ministry.

In April 2010, Engaged Churches™ again became an independent ministry, separate from Gallup, a move that opened the door to further serve the needs of churches, ministries and ministry leaders through the creation of low cost, high quality ministry tools, 'next step' resources and training opportunities.

Engaged Churches™ mission is simple: we exist to train leaders who will equip people to be the church (Ephesians 4:12).

That mission is fueled by four core values.

We are BIBLICALLY-BASED: God’s Word is inspired and the basis for our faith. (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
We are HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERED: It is not by might or by power, but by His Spirit that Jesus builds His Church.
We are MISSION FOCUSED: We are sent by Christ into our circles of influence to reach people with His love.

The Bible is clear that Jesus is the Chief Shepherd and head of the church (Matthew, 16-18-19, 1 Peter 5:4). It is also clear that he has intentionally and specifically raised earthly leaders to be equip the church. The Engaged Churches process is designed to help church leadership refine the tools needed to identify and raise leaders who lead leaders within their circles of influence (2 Timothy 2:2).

Equipped leaders equip others through a process of identifying, developing and empowering people to use their God given talents to live out their calling. To accomplish this we value training leaders who will train and coach others within their circles of influence and who will build and empower strengths-based ministry teams with individuals who are equipped to discover the truth about who God created them to be and to live their God given calling (Ephesians 2:10).

An engaged church is a spiritually committed and growing church with an intentional process and pathway for discipleship. Belonging leads to believing and spiritual commitment leads to spiritual health; but people cannot manage what they are unable to measure. A spiritually healthy church is led by leaders who have a firm understanding of our objective to become fully devoted followers of Christ and are able to articulate a clear vision, strategy and path to accomplish that objective (Matthew 4:19).

Our managing partner has developed material used by nearly 20,000 churches around the globe.
