Christ's goal was to lead those who followed Him to become His imitators.
The more we can understand and apply Christ's model for ministry and identify where students are at, the more we can reflect His method for teaching by connecting and meeting spiritual needs in ways that connect to the hearts of our students in and understandable way.
The Engaged Churches Initiative equips pastors and churches to understand and apply Christ's model for teaching; equipping people to personalize their relationship with Christ in the shared context of community and to reproduce His reflection beyond the walls.
An Engaged Church connects people to Christ through God's word and equips them to:
Identify a clear, measurable definition of spiritual maturity.
Identify a clear Christ-centered path with specific steps for growth.
Know what is expected of them at each step in the process of growth.
Clearly identify spiritual needs and growth barriers at each step in the process.
Utilize an accurate assessment tool to train them to examine their hearts and inform their spiritual growth.
